z/VM is IBM's current hypervisor OS — the direct descendant of CP-67's virtual-machine monitor, running hundreds of Linux and z/OS guests on System z with the CMS single-user OS on top.\n\nThe concept it pioneered in 1967 — a machine that pretends to be many machines — is now the cloud's entire business model.
