OpenBeOS renamed — the community reimplementation of BeOS that reached R1 beta; multithreaded everything, faithful to the ghost it serves.

Haiku (2001) is the open-source reimplementation of BeOS — same API, same feel, same elegance, binary-compatible where possible. Its OBOS kernel and the Tracker/Deskbar reproductions are exacting.\n\nR1/beta4 shipped December 2022; the project is still moving, the only serious BeOS successor in active development.
