The first Altair clone — better-built, more expandable, the machine WarGames put on film. CP/M's canonical home and proof the clone market was the real market.

Bill Millard's IMSAI 8080 (December 1975) was the first Altair-compatible machine — better engineered, fully socketed, expandable, S-100 bus. It sold assembled or as kit and briefly outsold the Altair.
It became the canonical CP/M host and a film star (Matthew Broderick's machine in WarGames, 1983). Millard founded ComputerLand to sell it; both ventures ended in litigation and bankruptcy.
