HP's workstation and server line — from the desktop 200 series to PA-RISC datacenter iron. HP-UX's home for three decades.

Created by Hewlett-Packard
Hosted HP-UX

The HP 9000 designation covered HP's entire workstation/server family — the desktop 200/300 series (FOCUS, then 68000) and the PA-RISC Series 800 datacenter machines.

HP-UX ran on it from 1983; PA-RISC (1986) was one of the first commercial RISC architectures. The line wound down as Itanium and then x86 took over, ending in 2008.
