Chris Lattner's Swift (2014) — Apple's ObjC successor — made optionals, value types, and protocol-oriented programming the iOS standard.\n\nSwiftUI and the server-side ecosystem grew it; it is the language Apple controls and the one ObjC apps must eventually adopt.
