Wrote 'First Draft of a Report on the EDVAC' (1945) — the stored-program architecture description that became the template every computer since follows.\n\nAlso founded game theory, worked on the atomic bomb, and designed IAS machine architecture. 'Von Neumann architecture' is the phrase, though the ideas were partly Eckert and Mauchly's.
