FreeDOS (1994) is the free, complete, DOS-compatible OS — Jim Hall's project to keep DOS alive after Microsoft announced its end. It's binary-compatible with MS-DOS software and ships on every old PC and embedded industrial system that still needs DOS.\n\nStill maintained; 1.3 shipped 2022.
