AdaLog — the Prolog-influenced logic engine inside ALB — gave the language its name and its backtracking semantics: ALB's pattern-matching and unification are AdaLog's descendants.\n\nIt is the 'logic' in 'AdaLogic' — the reasoning half of a language otherwise written in BASIC.
