Notable people Konrad Zuse
Zuse founded the company in 1941 to commercialize his designs — the Z4, delivered to ETH Zürich in 1950, was for a time the only working computer on the European continent. Post-war models (Z5, Z11, Z22, Z23, Z25, Z31) made it Germany's leading computer maker through the 1950s.
Siemens took a majority stake in 1967 and fully absorbed the company by 1971; Zuse himself remained a consultant.
