II 119th CONGRESS 2d Session S. 4969 IN THE SENATE OF THE UNITED STATES July 14, 2026Mr. Sheehy introduced the following bill; which was read twice and referred to the Committee on Veterans’ Affairs A BILL To amend title 38, United States Code, to increase the amount of educational assistance paid by the Secretary of Veterans Affairs to an eligible individual during the first year of a full-time program of apprenticeship or other on-job training. 1. Short title This Act may be cited as the Warriors to Workforce Act of 2026. 2. Increase of amount of educational assistance paid by the Secretary of Veterans Affairs for first year of a full-time program of apprenticeship or other on-job training Section 3313(g)(3)(B)(i)(II) of title 38, United States Code, is amended by striking 80 percent and inserting 100 percent.
