Braille Studio
Type text, get real UEB braille. Type math, get Nemeth. Everything on this page runs on albBRAILLE — a transcription engine written in AdaLogic BASIC, validated cell-for-cell against liblouis.
Braille — Unicode
BRF — embosser format
Dot grid — the cells visually
Cells — raw dot masks
Diagnostics
For programs — the public API
Everything above runs locally in your browser via BrTranslate(sys, txt).
The same engine answers over HTTP — this is the call an agent anywhere in the world would make:
anonymous tier — 12 requests/min per IP
Get an API key — 60 req/min, free
Shown once — store it somewhere safe. Send it as
X-API-Key: <key> or Authorization: Bearer <key>.
The honest gaps: no typeforms or foreign markup; Nemeth input is the engine's
latex-ish grammar, not full LaTeX; cells[] caps at 256 — the Studio pages
paragraphs for you, the API asks you to split long input.
