II 118th CONGRESS 1st Session S. 2734 IN THE SENATE OF THE UNITED STATES September 6, 2023Mr. Peters (for himself and Mr. Cornyn) introduced the following bill; which was read twice and referred to the Committee on Agriculture, Nutrition, and Forestry A BILL To amend the Agriculture Improvement Act of 2018 to reauthorize the emergency and transitional pet shelter and housing assistance grant program. 1. Short title This Act may be cited as the Pet and Women Safety Reauthorization Act of 2023 or the PAWS Reauthorization Act of 2023. 2. Emergency and Transitional Pet Shelter and Housing Assistance Grant Program Section 12502(b)(8)(A) of the Agriculture Improvement Act of 2018 (34 U.S.C. 20127(8)(A)) is amended by striking 2019 through 2023 and inserting 2024 through 2028.
