RES. 924 IN THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES December 12, 2023Mr. Alford submitted the following resolution; which was referred to the Committee on Armed Services RESOLUTION Recognizing December 17, 2023, as the 30th anniversary of when the first B–2 stealth bomber touched down at Whiteman Air Force Base in Missouri. Whereas, on December 17, 1993, the first B–2 stealth bomber touched down at Whiteman Air Force Base in Missouri; and Whereas the B–2 stealth bomber is capable of delivering conventional and nuclear munitions at any time anywhere in the world: Now, therefore, be it That the House of Representatives— (1) Recognizes as the 30th anniversary of when the first B–2 stealth bomber touched down at Whiteman Air Force Base in Missouri; and (2) acknowledges that the B–2 stealth bomber represents a vital part of the nuclear triad of the United States and is critical to the United States to project deterrence across the globe.
