R. 9732 IN THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES September 20, 2024Ms. Lee of Florida (for herself and Mr. Ivey) introduced the following bill; which was referred to the Committee on the Judiciary A BILL To amend title 18, United States Code, to clarify that private, one-on-one communications constitute a notice or advertisement for purposes of the Federal crime of making a notice or advertisement to seek or offer child pornography. 1. Short title This Act may be cited as the Protection of Child Victims from Online Predators Act. 2. Amendment to title 18, United States Code Section 2251(d) of title 18, United States Code, is amended by adding at the end the following: (3) For purposes of this subsection, a notice or advertisement can occur in a private, one-on-one communication. .
