R. 8439 IN THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES May 16, 2024Mr. Molinaro introduced the following bill; which was referred to the Committee on Agriculture A BILL To amend the Food and Nutrition Act of 2008 to modify household income to exclude income earned by a member who is 21 years of age or younger and who is an elementary or secondary school student. 1. Short title This Act may be cited as the ThinkDIFFERENTLY Nutrition and Opportunities Act of 2024. 2. Amendment Section 5(d)(7) of the Food and Nutrition Act of 2008 (7 U.S.C. 2014(d)(7)) is amended— (1) by striking a child who is, and (2) by striking 17 and inserting 21. 3. Effective date This Act and the amendments made by this Act shall take effect on January 1, 2025.
