R. 6253 IN THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES December 13, 2021Ms. Norton introduced the following bill; which was referred to the Committee on Oversight and Reform A BILL To amend the District of Columbia Home Rule Act to permit the Council of the District of Columbia to enact laws with respect to the organization and jurisdiction of the District of Columbia courts. 1. Short title This Act may be cited as the District of Columbia Courts Home Rule Act. 2. Authority of Council of District of Columbia to enact laws with respect to District of Columbia Courts Section 602(a) of the District of Columbia Home Rule Act (sec. 1–206.02(a), D.C. Official Code) is amended by striking paragraph (4).
