Stafford Disaster Relief and Emergency Assistance Act to include certain services in the definition of critical services, and for other purposes. 1. Repair, restoration, and replacement of damaged facilities (a) In general Section 406(a) of the Robert T. Stafford Disaster Relief and Emergency Assistance Act (42 U.S.C. 5172(a)) is amended— (1) in paragraph (1)(B), by inserting (including the repair of infrastructure used to access such facility) after associated expenses; and (2) in paragraph (3)(B)— (A) by inserting solid waste management, stormwater management, after wastewater treatment,; and (B) by inserting emergency supply transportation, nonemergency medical, first response, security, after education,. (b) Rule of applicability The amendments made by this Act shall apply with respect to contributions for major disasters occurring on or after August 1, 2017.
