| | # ALB Wiki Launches News |
| | |
| | The ALB Wiki now supports **news articles** — original announcements and stories from the ALB Team, published right inside the wiki. |
| | |
| | Every news article is a regular wiki page with full access to the wiki's markup: cite: citations, ```fact callouts, ```chart flowcharts, images, infoboxes, quizzes, and cross-links to other wiki articles. The only addition is a `YYYY-MM-DD` dateline at the top, which gives each article a publish date and feeds the chronological listing on Special:News. |
| | |
| - | ## How it works |
| + | # How it works |
| | |
| | 1. Create a new wiki page — any title works. |
| | 2. Add `2026-10-12` at the top for the publish date. |
| | 3. Write your article using all the usual wiki markup. |
| | 4. Add `` at the bottom. |
| | 5. Save — it appears on the news hub automatically. |
| | |
| - | ## Why in the wiki? |
| + | # Why in the wiki? |
| | |
| | The ALB Wiki already has revision history, search, categories, cross-links, SEO, sitemaps, and IndexNow. Building a separate blog engine would have duplicated all of that. Instead, a news article is just a wiki page that happens to be in :Category:News — same editor, same renderer, same everything. |
| | |
| | The Special:News page lists all news articles newest-first. The main page shows the latest headlines. Red links in news articles seed future wiki entries, just like they do everywhere else. |
