arXiv:2610.35880v1 Announce Type: new Abstract: In this paper, we establish an analytical model for a class of hyponormal contractions $T$ satisfying $Ran[T^*,T] \subseteq \mathcal D_{T^*}\ominus \mathcal D_T$, where $\mathcal D_{T^*}$ and $\mathcal D_T$ are the associated defect spaces for $T$. We also show that, under a certain condition, a contraction $T$ with $\mathcal D_T \subseteq \mathcal D_{T^*}$ is hyponormal.
