,act may be cited as the ,end ,housing ,welfare for ,illegal ,aliens ,act4 #b4 ,ineligibility of sanctuary jurisdictions for community development block grants ,title ,i of the ,housing and ,community ,development ,act of #aigd 7#db ,u4,s4,c4 #ecja et seq47 is amended-- 7#a7 in section #ajb7;a7 7#db ,u4,s4,c4 #ecjb7;a771 by adding at the end the following3 7#be7 7,a7 ,except as provided in subparagraph 7,b71 the term sanctuary jurisdiction means any ,state or political subdivision of a ,state that has in effect a statute1 ordinance1 policy1 or practice that prohibits or restricts any government entity or official from-- 7i7 sending1 receiving1 maintaining1 or exchanging with any ,federal1 ,state1 or local government entity information regarding the citizenship or immigration status 7lawful or unlawful7 of any individual4 7ii7 complying with a request lawfully made by the ,department of ,homeland ,security under section #bcf or #bhg of the ,immigration and ,nationality ,act 7#h ,u4,s4,c4 #abbf1 #aceg7 to comply with a detainer for1 or notify about the release of1 an individual4 7iii7 ,a ,state or political subdivision of a ,state shall not be deemed a sanctuary jurisdiction based solely on its having a policy whereby its officials will not share information regarding1 or comply with a request made by the ,department of ,homeland ,security under section #bcf or #bhg of the ,immigration and ,nationality ,act 7#h ,u4,s4,c4 #abbf1 #aceg7 to comply with a detainer regarding1 an individual who comes forward as a victim or a witness to a criminal offense4 2 and 7#b7 in section #ajd7;b7 7#db ,u4,s4,c4 #ecjd7;b77-- 7,a7 in paragraph 7#e71 by striking and at the end2 7,b7 by redesignating paragraph 7#f7 as paragraph 7#g72 and 7,c7 by inserting after paragraph 7#e7 the following3 7#f7 the grantee is not a sanctuary jurisdiction and will not become a sanctuary jurisdiction during the period for which the grantee receives a grant under this title2 and 4 #c4 ,codification of #8mixed-status' rule to prevent the prorating of housing assistance to households with illegal alien residents 7a7 ,restriction on use of assisted housing ,section #bad7;b7 of the ,housing and ,community ,development ,act of #aihj 7#db ,u4,s4,c4 #adcf;a7b77 is amended by striking paragraph 7#b7 and inserting the following3 7#b7 ,if the eligibility for financial assistance of at least one member of a family has been affirmatively established under the program of financial assistance and under this section1 and the ineligibility of one or more family members has not been affirmatively established under this section1 the applicable ,secretary shall not make any financial assistance available on any prorated basis until eligibility has been affirmatively established for all members of a family regardless of age4 4 7b7 ,removal of assistance ,section #bad of the ,housing and ,community ,development ,act of #aihj 7#db ,u4,s4,c4 #adcf;a7 is amended-- 7#a7 by striking subsection 7c72 7#b7 by redesignating subsections 7d7 through 7i7 as subsections 7c7 through 7h71 respectively2 7#c7 in subsection 7d71 as so redesignated-- 7,a7 in paragraph 7#b71 by striking subsection 7d77#d77;,a77ii7 and inserting subsection 7c77#d77;,a77ii72 and 7,b7 in paragraph 7#c71 by striking subsection 7d77#d77;,b77ii7 and inserting subsection 7c77#d77;,b77ii722 7#d7 in subsection 7e77#a71 as so redesignated1 by striking subsection 7d7 and inserting subsection 7c72 7#e7 in subsection 7g71 as so redesignated1 by striking subsection 7d7 and inserting subsection 7c72 and 7#f7 in subsection 7h71 as so redesignated1 by striking subsection 7d7 each place that term appears and inserting subsection 7c74 7c7 ,verification of eligibility for housing assistance ,subsection 7h7 of section #bad of the ,housing and ,community ,development ,act of #aihj 7#db ,u4,s4,c4 #adcf;a71 as so redesignated under subsection 7b71 is amended-- 7#a7 in paragraph 7#a71 by striking at least the individual or one family member and inserting individual and all family members regardless of age2 and 7#b7 by adding at the end the following3 7#d7 ,prorated assistance ,with respect to pending verification of eligibility as described in paragraph 7#a71 the applicable ,secretary may not provide any financial assistance to any individual or family on any prorated basis until verification of eligibility has been confirmed for all individuals or family members regardless of age4 4 #d4 ,requiring public housing agencies to affirmatively establish and verify citizenship before providing financial assistance ,subsection 7h77#b77;,a7 of section #bad of the ,housing and ,community ,development ,act of #aihj 7#db ,u4,s4,c4 #adcf;a71 as so redesignated under section #c1 is amended-- 7#a7 by striking may1 notwithstanding paragraph 7#a7 of this subsection1 and inserting shall2 and 7#b7 by striking assistance and inserting assistance2 and4 #e4 ,restricting eligibility of certain noncitizens of the ,united ,states for housing programs ,section #bad7;b77#a7 of the ,housing and ,community ,development ,act of #aihj 7#db ,u4,s4,c4 #adcf;a7b77#a77 is amended-- 7#a7 by inserting or section #haa after title ,,iii2 and 7#b7 by inserting 7#db ,u4,s4,c4 #abhea et seq41 #hjac71 section #bjb of the ,housing ,act of #aiei 7#ab ,u4,s4,c4 #agjaq7 after ,affordable ,housing ,act4
