,i #aaith ,,congress #b;d ,session ,h4 ,r4 #hgjh ,,in ,,the ,,house ,,of ,,representatives ,may #g1 #bjbf,ms4 ,scholten 7for herself and ,ms4 ,pettersen7 introduced the following bill2 which was referred to the ,committee on ,small ,business1 and in addition to the ,committee on ,financial ,services1 for a period to be subsequently determined by the ,speaker1 in each case for consideration of such provisions as fall within the jurisdiction of the committee concerned ,a ,,bill ,to direct the ,administrator of the ,small ,business ,administration and the ,national ,director of the ,minority ,business ,development ,agency to direct small business development centers and ,,mbda ,business ,centers to collaborate to better serve small business concerns1 and for other purposes4 #a4 ,short title ,this ,act may be cited as the ,main ,street ,business ,resource ,integration and ,development for ,growth and ,equity ,act or ,main ,street ,,bridge ,act4 #b4 ,collaboration between small business development centers and ,,mbda ,business ,centers 7a7 ,collaboration required ,not later than #ahj days after the date of enactment of this ,act1 the ,administrator and the ,secretary1 acting through the ,director1 shall direct small business development centers and ,,mbda ,business ,centers1 respectively1 to collaborate to better serve small business concerns4 7b7 ,report ,not later than two years after the date of enactment of this ,act1 the ,administrator and the ,director shall jointly submit to ,congress a report that includes the following3 7#a7 ,a summary of the results of the collaboration required under subsection 7a74 7#b7 ,a description of the challenges faced by small business development centers and ,,mbda ,business ,centers in carrying out the collaboration required under subsection 7a74 7#c7 ,the number of consultations1 educational activities1 and outreach activities performed by small business development centers and ,,mbda ,business ,centers in connection with the collaboration required under subsection 7a74 7#d7 ,the number of small business concerns served as a result of the collaboration required under subsection 7a74 7#e7 ,the number of new small business concerns started as a result of the collaboration required under subsection 7a74 7#f7 ,the number of new jobs created and existing jobs supported1 in small business concerns1 as a result of the collaboration required under subsection 7a74 7#g7 ,the dollar amount of financial assistance provided to small business concerns as a result of assistance received from small business development centers and ,,mbda ,business ,centers in connection with the collaboration required under subsection 7a74 7#h7 ,any recommendations for enhancing collaboration between small business development centers and ,,mbda ,business ,centers4 #c4 ,definitions ,in this ,act3 7#a7 ,administrator ,the term ,administrator means the ,administrator of the ,small ,business ,administration4 7#b7 ,director ,the term ,director means the ,national ,director of the ,minority ,business ,development ,agency4 7#c7 ,,mbda ,business ,center ,the term ,,mbda ,business ,center has the meaning given that term in section #ajjjjb7g7 of the ,minority ,business ,development ,act of #bjba 7#ae ,u4,s4,c4 #ieja7g774 7#d7 ,secretary ,the term ,secretary means the ,secretary of ,commerce4 7#e7 ,small business concern ,the term small business concern has the meaning given the term under section #c of the ,small ,business ,act 7#ae ,u4,s4,c4 #fcb74 7#f7 ,small business development center ,the term small business development center has the meaning given that term in section #c7t7 of the ,small ,business ,act 7#ae ,u4,s4,c4 #fcb7t774
