,definitions ,in this section3 7#a7     
,historically black college or          
university ,the term historically ,black

 college or university has the meaning  
given the term part ,b institution in   
section #cbb of the ,higher ,education  
,act of #aife 7#bj ,u4,s4,c4 #ajfa74    
7#b7 ,institution of higher education   
,the term institution of higher         
education has the meaning given that    
term in section #aja of the ,higher     
,education ,act of #aife 7#bj ,u4,s4,c4 
#ajja74  7#c7 ,junior or community      
college ,the term junior or community   
college has the meaning given that term 
in section #cab of the ,higher          
,education ,act of #aife 7#bj ,u4,s4,c4 
#ajeh74  7#d7 ,minority-serving         
institution ,the term minority-serving  
institution means an eligible           
institution of higher education         
described in section #cga7;a7 of the    
,higher ,education ,act of #aife 7#bj   
,u4,s4,c4 #ajfgq7a774  7#e7 ,secondary  
school ,the term secondary school means 
a school or program that provides       
secondary education1 as determined under
 ,state law1 except that the term does  

not include any education beyond grade  
#ab4  7#f7 ,technical1 trade1 or        
vocational school ,the term technical1  
trade1 or vocational school has the     
meaning given that term in section      
#daa4afg of title #bj1 ,code of ,federal
 ,regulations4  7b7 ,program ,the       
,secretary shall carry out a            
cybersecurity internship program 7in    
this section referred to as the         
,program7 under which an eligible       
individual participates in a paid       
cybersecurity internship at the         
,department with duties aligned to such 
participant's respective education1     
skills1 and experience4  7c7            
,eligibility ,to be eligible to         
participate in the ,program1 an         
individual shall-- 7#a7 be a citizen of 
the ,united ,states2  7#b7 be at least  
#af years old2 and  7#c7 be enrolled in 
a secondary school1 technical1 trade1 or
 vocational school1 or institution of   
higher education1 in accordance with    
subsection 7d74  7d7 ,composition ,the  

,secretary shall1 as practicable1 ensure
 that participants selected for the     
,program for each intern class include  
students enrolled in each of the        
following3 7#a7 ,secondary schools4     
7#b7 ,junior or community colleges4     
7#c7 ,undergraduate degree programs4    
7#d7 ,postgraduate degree programs4     
7#e7 ,technical1 trade1 or vocational   
schools4  7e7 ,reports  7#a7 ,reports   
,not later than #a year after the date  
of enactment of the ,,dhs ,cybersecurity
 ,internship ,program ,act and annually 
thereafter1 the ,secretary shall submit 
to the ,committee on ,homeland ,security
 and ,governmental ,affairs of the      
,senate and the ,committee on ,homeland 
,security of the ,house of              
,representatives a report on the        
,program4  7#b7 ,matters ,each report   
under paragraph 7#a7 shall include1 with
 respect to the most recent ,program    
year1 the following3 7,a7 ,a description
 of outreach efforts by the ,secretary  
to raise awareness of the ,program among

 secondary schools and institutions of  
higher education1 including among junior
 or community colleges1 historically    
,black colleges and universities1 and   
other minority-serving institutions4    
7,b7 ,information on specific recruiting
 efforts by the ,secretary to increase  
participation in the ,program4  7,c7    
,the number of individuals participating
 in the ,program1 listed by the type of 
school or program in which the          
individual is enrolled at the time of   
participation1 and information on the   
nature of each such participation1      
including ,department components        
supported1 and the duties of each such  
individual4  7#c7 ,consolidation        
,reports submitted under this subsection
 may be consolidated with the reports   
required under section #accc7;e74  4    
7b7 ,clerical amendment ,the table of   
contents in section #a7;b7 of the       
,homeland ,security ,act of #bjjb       
7,public ,law #ajg-bif2 #aaf ,stat4     
#bace7 is amended by inserting after the

 item relating to section #accc the
