following bill2 which was referred to   
the ,committee on ,financial ,services  
,a ,,bill  ,to require the ,secretary of
 the ,treasury to designate sectorially 
critical banking institutions1 to       
require a higher level of regulatory    
supervision of such institutions1 and   
for other purposes4  #a4 ,short title   
,this ,act may be cited as the ,critical
 ,bank ,review ,act4  #b4 ,designation  
of sectorially critical banking         
institutions  7a7 ,designation ,the     
,secretary of the ,treasury1 in         
consultation with the banking           
regulators1 shall designate a banking   
institution as sectorially critical if  
the banking institution is systemically 
important to a critical sector of the   
economy of the ,united ,states4  7b7    
,supervision of sectorially critical    
banking institutions ,the appropriate   

,federal banking agency shall apply a   
higher level of regulatory supervision  
with respect to a sectorially critical  
banking institution1 as determined      
appropriate by the appropriate ,federal 
banking agency4  7c7 ,definitions ,in   
this section3 7#a7 ,appropriate ,federal
 banking agency ,the term appropriate   
,federal banking agency-- 7,a7 has the  
meaning given that term under section #c
 of the ,federal ,deposit ,insurance    
,act2 and  7,b7 means the ,national     
,credit ,union ,administration1 in the  
case of a credit union4  7#b7 ,banking  
institution ,the term banking           
institution means-- 7,a7 a depository   
institution 7as defined under section #c
 of the ,federal ,deposit ,insurance    
,act72 and  7,b7 a credit union4  7#c7  
,credit union ,the term credit union    
means a ,federal credit union or a      
,state credit union1 as such terms are  
defined1 respectively1 under section    
#aja of the ,federal ,credit ,union     
,act4  7#d7 ,federal banking agencies   

,the term ,federal banking agencies     
means the ,board of ,governors of the   
,federal ,reserve ,system1 the          
,comptroller of the ,currency1 the      
,federal ,deposit ,insurance            
,corporation1 and the ,national ,credit 
,union ,administration4
