 use requirements for bonds issued for  
lead service line replacement projects4

 as the ,financing ,lead ,out of ,water 
,act of #bjbb4  #b4 ,modification of    
private business use requirements for   
certain bonds  7a7 ,in general ,section 
#ada7;b77#f7 of the ,internal ,revenue  
,code of #aihf is amended by adding at  
the end the following new subparagraph3 
7,d7 ,clarification relating to         
qualified lead service line replacement 
use  7i7 ,in general ,for purposes of   
this subsection1 qualified lead service 

line replacement use shall not          
constitute private business use4  7ii7  
,definitions ,for purposes of this      
subparagraph-- 7,i7 ,qualified lead     
service line replacement use ,the term  
qualified lead service line replacement 
use means1 with respect to any public   
water system1 use of the proceeds of an 
issue to replace any privately-owned    
portion of a lead service line connected
 to such system to facilitate1 achieve  
or maintain compliance with a national  
primary drinking water regulation for   
lead4  7,,ii7 ,lead service line ,the   
term lead service line has the meaning  
given such term in section              
#adei;,b7a77#d7 of the ,safe ,drinking  
,water ,act4  7,,iii7 ,national primary 
drinking water regulation for lead ,the 
term national primary drinking water    
regulation for lead means a national    
primary drinking water regulation for   
lead promulgated under section #adab of 
such ,act4  7,,iv7 ,public water system 
,the term public water system has the   

meaning given such term in section      
#adja7d7 of such ,act4  4  7b7          
,effective date ,the amendments made by 
this section shall apply to obligations 
issued after ,december #ca1 #bjbb4
