,this ,act may be cited as the ,casa ,grande ,ruins ,national ,monument ,boundary ,modification ,act of #bjba4 #b4 ,findings ,congress finds that-- 7#a7 ,casa ,grande ,ruin ,reservation was-- 7,a7 set aside on ,march #b1 #ahhi2 7,b7 proclaimed as the first archaeological preserve in the ,united ,states on ,june #bb1 #ahib2 and 7,c7 redesignated as the ,casa ,grande ,ruins ,national ,monument on ,august #c1 #aiah2 7#b7 the ,casa ,grande ,ruins ,national ,monument protects #a of the finest architectural examples of #adth century ,hohokam culture in the ,southwest1 which was known to early ,spanish explorers as the ,great ,house2 7#c7 ,casa ,grande is only part of the story of an ancient town that may have covered #b square miles2 and 7#d7 recent surveys and research have determined that the area of the ,great ,house and the village surrounding the ,great ,house extends beyond the existing boundary of the ,casa ,grande ,ruins ,national ,monument4 #c4 ,definitions ,in this ,act3 7#a7 ,,bia land ,the term ,,bia land means the approximately #g4da acres of ,federal land administered by the ,bureau of ,indian ,affairs1 as generally depicted on the map as ,,bia land to ,,nps4 7#b7 ,,blm land parcel ,a ,the term ,,blm land parcel ,a means the approximately #c4h acres of ,federal land administered by the ,bureau of ,land ,management1 as generally depicted on the map as ,,blm land parcel ,a to ,,nps4 7#c7 ,,blm land parcel b ,the term ,,blm land parcel ,b means the approximately #c4g acres of ,federal land administered by the ,bureau of ,land ,management1 as generally depicted on the map as ,,blm land parcel ,b to ,,bia4 7#d7 ,map ,the term map means the map entitled ,casa ,grande ,ruins ,national ,monument ,proposed ,boundary ,adjustment1 numbered #cjc_/abj1gcd;,b1 and dated ,february #bjba4 7#e7 ,monument ,the term ,monument means the ,casa ,grande ,ruins ,national ,monument in the ,state4 7#f7 ,,nps land ,the term ,,nps land means the approximately #c4e acres of ,federal land administered by the ,national ,park ,service1 as generally depicted on the map as ,,nps land to ,,bia4 7#g7 ,secretary ,the term ,secretary means the ,secretary of the ,interior4 7#h7 ,state ,the term ,state means the ,state of ,arizona4 #d4 ,acquisition and transfer of administrative jurisdiction over certain land 7a7 ,acquisition of land ,the ,secretary may acquire by donation1 exchange1 or purchase with donated or appropriated funds1 from willing sellers only1 land or an interest in land generally depicted on the map as ,state land of ,arizona or ,private land1 to be administered as part of the ,monument4 7b7 ,transfer of administrative jurisdiction 7#a7 ,withdrawal ,the ,,bia land1 ,,blm land parcel ,a1 and ,,blm land parcel ,b are withdrawn from-- 7,a7 all forms of entry1 appropriation1 and disposal under the public land laws2 7,b7 location1 entry1 and patent under the mining laws2 and 7,c7 operation of the mineral leasing and geothermal leasing laws and mineral materials laws4 7#b7 ,transfer of administrative jurisdiction 7,a7 ,,blm land parcel a ,administrative jurisdiction over ,,blm land parcel ,a is transferred from the ,bureau of ,land ,management to the ,national ,park ,service4 7,b7 ,,blm land parcel b ,administrative jurisdiction over ,,blm land parcel ,b is transferred from the ,bureau of ,land ,management to the ,bureau of ,indian ,affairs4 7,c7 ,,bia land ,administrative jurisdiction over the ,,bia land is transferred from the ,bureau of ,indian ,affairs to the ,national ,park ,service4 7,d7 ,,nps land ,administrative jurisdiction over the ,,nps land is transferred from the ,national ,park ,service to the ,bureau of ,indian ,affairs4 7c7 ,administration2 boundary modification ,on the acquisition of land or an interest in land under subsection 7a71 and with respect to any land transferred by subsection 7b71 the ,secretary shall-- 7#a7 administer the land or interest in land acquired under subsection 7a7 or the land transferred to the administrative jurisdiction of the ,national ,park ,service under subparagraph 7,a7 or 7,c7 of subsection 7b77#b71 as applicable1 as part of the ,monument1 in accordance with the laws generally applicable to units of the ,national ,park ,system1 including applicable provisions of division ,a of subtitle ,i of title #ed1 ,united ,states ,code2 and 7#b7 modify the boundary of the ,monument to reflect1 as applicable-- 7,a7 the acquisition of land or interest in land under subsection 7a72 and 7,b7 the transfer of administrative jurisdiction under subsection 7b74 7d7 ,availability of map ,the map shall be on file and available for inspection in the appropriate offices of the ,national ,park ,service4 7e7 ,compensation ,except in a case in which land or an interest in land is acquired by donation under subsection 7a71 as consideration for the acquisition of land or an interest in land under that subsection1 the ,secretary shall-- 7#a7 pay fair market value for the land or interest in land2 or 7#b7 convey to the ,state or private landowner1 as applicable1 ,federal land or an interest in ,federal land of equal value located in the ,state4 #e4 ,administration of ,state land ,the ,secretary may enter into an agreement with the ,state to provide for the cooperative management by the ,secretary and the ,state of the approximately #bjj acres of ,state land1 as generally depicted on the map as ,state land of ,arizona4
