,transportation and ,infrastructure  ,a 
,,bill  ,to authorize the ,secretary of 
,transportation to extend the duration  
of certain waivers for school bus       
drivers1 and for other purposes4  #a4   
,short title ,this ,act may be cited as 
the ,get ,our ,kids to ,school ,act of  
#bjbb4  #b4 ,waivers for school bus     
drivers  7a7 ,extended waiver period ,in
 the case of a covered waiver1 the      
period specified in section             
#cacae7;a77#a7 of title #di1 ,united    
,states ,code1 shall be treated as a    
period not in excess of #a year4  7b7   
,public comments on further extension of
 waiver ,not later than #abj days after 
the date of enactment of this ,act1 the 
,secretary shall solicit public comments
 on the feasibility and potential       

benefits of granting a covered waiver of
 unlimited duration4  7c7 ,availability 
of funding ,notwithstanding any other   
provision of law1 funds made available  
to a ,state under section #cacac of     
title #di1 ,united ,states ,code1 may be
 used by the ,state to assist with costs
 associated with a covered waiver4  7d7 
,covered waiver defined ,in this        
section1 the term covered waiver means a
 waiver that grants to ,states the      
discretion to waive the engine          
compartment component of the pre-trip   
vehicle inspection skills requirement   
described in section                    
#chc4aac7;a77#a77;i7 of title #di1 ,code
 of ,federal ,regulations1 for a        
commercial driver's license applicant   
seeking to operate a school bus4
