the ,united ,states1 the inherent right 
of women to vote and participate in the 
political process was inhibited2        
,whereas the contributions of women to  
the fight for the independence1         
founding1 and rise to prominence of the 
,united ,states were extensive1 vital to
 those objectives1 and worthy of        
recognition2 ,whereas women1 like all   
persons1 have always inherently held the
 right to vote and participate in

the first law in the history of the     
,united ,states to grant women the right
