carbon atoms4 #c4 ,performance standard for the detection of perfluorinated compounds 7a7 ,in general ,the ,director shall establish a performance standard for the detection of perfluorinated compounds4 7b7 ,emphasis 7#a7 ,in general ,in developing the performance standard under subsection 7a71 the ,director shall emphasize the ability to detect as many perfluorinated compounds present in the environment as possible using analytical methods that are as sensitive as is feasible and practicable4 7#b7 ,requirement ,in developing the performance standard under subsection 7a71 the ,director may-- 7,a7 develop quality assurance and quality control measures to ensure accurate sampling and testing2 7,b7 develop a training program with respect to the appropriate method of sample collection and analysis of perfluorinated compounds2 and 7,c7 coordinate as necessary with the ,administrator to develop methods to detect individual and different perfluorinated compounds simultaneously4 #d4 ,nationwide sampling 7a7 ,in general ,the ,director shall carry out a nationwide sampling to determine the concentration of perfluorinated compounds in estuaries1 lakes1 streams1 springs1 wells1 wetlands1 rivers1 aquifers1 and soil using the performance standard developed under section #c7;a74 7b7 ,requirements ,in carrying out the sampling under subsection 7a71 the ,director shall-- 7#a7
