,short title ,this ,act may be cited as 
the ,classroom to ,careers ,act of      
#bjai4  #b4 ,grants for ,federal        
,work-,study programs for full-time1    
off-campus cooperative education and    
work-based learning  7a7 ,purpose ,it is
 the purpose of this ,act1 and the      
amendments made by this ,act1 to enable1
 expand1 and enhance the use of ,federal
 work-study by students for part-time   
and full-time1 off-campus cooperative   

education and other work-based learning 
experiences with nonprofit1 government1 
and for-profit employers4  7b7 ,grants  
for ,federal ,work-,study programs ,part
 ,c of title ,,iv of the ,higher        
,education ,act of #aife 7#bj ,u4,s4,c4 
#ajhg-ea et seq47 is amended-- 7#a7 in  
section #dda7;a71 by striking part-time2
 and  7#b7 in section #ddc-- 7,a7 in    
subsection 7b77#a71 by striking         
part-time2  7,b7 in subsection 7c7-- 7i7
 in paragraph 7#a7--  7,i7 by striking  
program of part-time employment and     
inserting the following3 program-- 7,a7 
of employment  2  7,,ii7 by inserting or
 after subsection 7b77#c722 and  7,,iii7
 by adding at the end the following3    
7,b7 of full-time employment of its     
cooperative education students--  7i7 in
 work for a private for-profit          
organization under an arrangement       
between the institution and such        
organization that offers cooperative    
education and with the requirements of  
subparagraphs 7,a7 through 7,d7 of      

subsection 7b77#a7 and subsection       
7b77#c7 for not longer than a #f-month  
period 7which period may be completed   
non-consecutively1 including during     
summer and intercession periods72 and   
7ii7 who may participate in more than   
one work period described in clause 7i7 
during the course of the students'      
enrollment2  2 and  7ii7 in paragraph   
7#d71 by inserting and complement and   
reinforce the educational goals or      
career goals of each student receiving  
assistance under this part after        
relevant2 and  7,c7 by adding at the end
 the following3  7f7 ,career pathways   
,an institution that operates a         
work-study program under this part shall
 ensure that participation in the       
program aligns with the requirements of 
career pathways as defined in section #c
 of the ,workforce ,innovation and      
,opportunity ,act4  7g7 ,cooperative    
education ,in this section1 the term    
cooperative education means the         
provision of alternating or parallel    

periods of academic study and work-based
 learning or public or private          
employment to give students work        
experiences related to their academic or
 occupational objectives and an         
opportunity to earn the funds necessary 
for continuing and completing their
