bill2 which was read twice and referred 
to the ,committee on ,veterans' ,affairs
  ,a ,,bill  ,to direct the ,secretary  
of ,veterans ,affairs to take actions   
necessary to ensure that certain        
individuals may update the burn pit     
registry with the cause of death of a   
registered individual1 and for other    
purposes4  #a4 ,short title ,this ,act  
may be cited as the ,burn ,pit ,registry
 ,enhancement ,act4  #b4 ,updates of    
burn pit registry established and       
maintained by ,department of ,veterans  
,affairs  7a7 ,individuals eligible ,to 
update  7#a7 ,in general ,not later than
 #ahj days after the date of the        
enactment of this ,act1 the ,secretary  
of ,veterans ,affairs shall take actions
 necessary to ensure that the burn pit  
registry may be updated with the cause  

of death of a deceased registered       
individual by--  7,a7 an individual     
designated by such deceased registered  
individual2 or  7,b7 if no such         
individual is designated1 an immediate  
family member of such deceased          
registered individual4  7#b7            
,designation ,the ,secretary shall      
provide1 with respect to the burn pit   
registry1 a process by which a          
registered individual may make a        
designation for purposes of paragraph   
7#a77;,a74  7b7 ,definitions ,in this   
section3 7#a7 ,the term burn pit        
registry means the registry established 
under section #bja of the ,dignified    
,burial and ,other ,veterans' ,benefits 
,improvement ,act of #bjab 7,public ,law
 #aab-bfj2 #ch ,u4,s4,c4 #ebg note74    
7#b7 ,the term immediate family member1 
with respect to a deceased individual1  
means-- 7,a7 the spouse1 parent1        
brother1 sister1 or adult child of the  
individual2  7,b7 an adult person to    
whom the individual stands in loco      

parentis2 or  7,c7 any other adult      
person--  7i7 living in the household of
 the individual at the time of the death
 of the individual2 and  7ii7 related to
 the individual by blood or marriage4   
7#c7 ,the term registered individual    
means an individual registered with the 
burn pit registry4
