bill2 which was read twice and referred

,education1 ,labor1 and ,pensions  ,a   
,,bill  ,to establish a grant program   
for purposes of providing training to   
physicians on the health effects of     
exposure to perfluoroalkyl and          
polyfluoroalkyl substances4  #a4 ,short 
title ,this ,act may be cited as the    
,physician ,education on ,,pfas ,health 
,impacts ,act4  #b4 ,grant program for  
training of physicians on ,,pfas ,part  
,p of title ,,iii of the ,public ,health
 ,service ,act 7#db ,u4,s4,c4 #bhj;g et 
seq47 is amended by adding at the end   
the following3  #cii,v-#g4 ,grant       
program for training of physicians on   
,,pfas  7a7 ,in general ,the ,secretary 
shall award grants to eligible entities 
for the purpose of developing courses   

for physicians or other medical         
practitioners to inform such physicians 
and medical practitioners about the     
impact of perfluoroalkyl and            
polyfluoroalkyl substance exposure on   
health outcomes and best practices for  
patients who have been exposed to such  
substances4  7b7 ,eligible entities ,to 
be eligible to receive a grant under    
this section1 and entity shall-- 7#a7   
be-- 7,a7 a national or ,state medical  
organization or other organization that 
provides educational courses to health  
care providers2 or  7,b7 an institution 
of medical research or a clinical       
researcher at such an institution of    
medical research2  7#b7 have expertise  
in clinical conditions or diseases that 
are related or exacerbated by           
perfluoroalkyl and polyfluoroalkyl      
substance exposure1 experience in       
environmental health1 and other         
expertise and experience as the         
,secretary determines appropriate2  7#c7
 commit to gathering input from patients

 and clinicians when developing the     
training courses1 as the ,secretary     
determines appropriate2 and  7#d7 submit
 an application to the ,secretary at    
such time1 in such manner1 and          
containing such information as the      
,secretary may require4  7c7 ,reporting 
7#a7 ,grantee reporting to the          
,secretary ,each recipient of a grant   
under this section shall annually report
 to the ,secretary1 in a form and manner
 determined by the ,secretary1 on       
training materials developed through use
 of funds awarded under the grant4 ,each
 such report shall include any findings 
or recommendations that the grantees    
have determined should be included in   
physician or medical practitioner       
training4  7#b7 ,,hhs dissemination of  
information ,each year1 not later than  
#ij days after receiving the reports    
from grant recipients under paragraph   
7#a71 the ,secretary shall disseminate  
to the public a summary of findings and 
recommendations that are included in the

 material provided under such paragraph 
7#a74  7d7 ,definition ,in this section1
 the term ,,pfas means a perfluoroalkyl 
or polyfluoroalkyl substance with at    
least one fully fluorinated carbon atom4
  7e7 ,authorization of appropriations  
,to carry out this section1 there is    
authorized to be appropriated #ejj1jjj  
for the period of fiscal years #bjba    
through #bjbe1 to remain available until
 expended4  4
