,stat4 #fhe7 is amended-- 7#a7 in       
subsection 7b77#d71 by striking         
subparagraph 7,i7 and inserting the     
following3  7,i7 ,the ,chairperson of   
the ,national ,endowment for the ,arts4 
7,j7 ,the ,chairperson of the ,national 
,endowment for the ,humanities4  7,k7   
,the ,director of the ,institute of     
,museum and ,library ,services4  7,l7   

7i7 ,the ,chief ,justice of the ,united 
,states2 or  7ii7 an ,associate ,justice
 or former ,associate ,justice appointed
 by the ,chief ,justice of the ,united

,removal of members who are private

a member of the ,commission appointed

,all meetings and inserting the

by adding at the end the following3

,stat4 #fhi7 is amended-- 7#a7 in       
paragraph 7#c77;,a71 by striking        
presiding officer of the ,federal       
,council on the ,arts and the           
,humanities1 the ,chairperson of the    
,national ,endowment for the ,arts1 and 
the ,chairperson of the ,national       
,endowment for the ,humanities and      
inserting ,chairperson of the ,national 
,endowment for the ,arts1 the           
,chairperson of the ,national ,endowment
 for the ,humanities1 and the ,director 
of the ,institute of ,museum and        
,library ,services2 and  7#b7 in        
paragraph 7#d71 in the matter preceding 
subparagraph 7,a71 by inserting and     
other after founding4  7d7 ,expenditures
 of commission ,section #i of the       
,united ,states ,semiquincentennial     

,commission ,act of #bjaf 7,public ,law 
#aad-aif2 #acj ,stat4 #fia7 is amended--
 7#a7 by striking subsection 7a7 and    
inserting the following3  7a7 ,in       
general ,all expenditures of the        
,commission shall be made from          
donations1 earned income1 and any funds 
made available to carry out this ,act   
under subsection 7g74  2  7#b7 in       
subsection 7d71 by striking 8,once each 
year during the period beginning on the 
date of enactment of this ,act0 and     
inserting 8,annually during the period  
beginning #a year after the ,commission 
submits the report to the ,president    
under section #e7;c77#a702 and  7#c7 by 
adding at the end the following3  7e7   
,intellectual property protections ,the 
,commission shall have the sole power to
 authorize1 license1 and1 as applicable1
 derive income from1 the usage of       
official marks1 imprimaturs1 products1  
and logos of the ,commission and the    
official ,united ,states                
,semiquincentennial activities sponsored

 or cosponsored by the ,commission4  7f7
 ,enforcement  7#a7 ,in general ,subject
 to paragraph 7#b71 except as authorized
 under rules and regulations officially 
issued by the ,commission1 any person   
who knowingly manufactures1 reproduces1 
or uses any logo1 symbol1 or mark       
originated under authority of1 and      
certified by1 in accordance with        
paragraph 7#b71 the ,commission or the  
secretariat of the ,commission described
 in subsection 7b7 for use in connection
 with the commemoration of the ,united  
,states ,semiquincentennial1 or any     
facsimile of the logo1 symbol1 or mark1 
or holds out to the public objects in a 
manner to suggest any logo1 symbol1 or  
mark not officially authorized by the   
,commission or the secretariat of the   
,commission1 shall be fined not more    
than #a1jjj for each unauthorized use1  
imprisoned for not more than #a year1 or
 both4  7#b7 ,applicability date ,the   
requirements of paragraph 7#a7 shall    
apply beginning on the date of          

publication in the ,federal ,register of
 notice of certification by the         
,commission or secretariat of the       
,commission with respect to a logo1     
symbol1 or mark4  7g7 ,authorization of 
appropriations ,there are authorized to 
be appropriated such sums as are        
necessary to carry out this ,act4  4
