  ,to require ,federal law enforcement  
officers1 including contract employees1 
and members of the armed forces engaged 
in crowd control1 riot control1 or      
arrest or detainment of individuals     
engaged in civil disobedience1          
demonstrations1 protests1 or riots to   
visibly display identifying information4
  #a4 ,short title ,this ,act may be    
cited as the ,law ,enforcement          

,identification ,act4  #b4 ,identifying 
information for ,federal law enforcement
 officers1 including contract employees1
 and members of the armed forces engaged
 in crowd control1 riot control1 or     
arrest or detainment  7a7 ,definitions  
,in this section-- 7#a7 the term        
,federal law enforcement officer means--
 7,a7 an employee or officer in a       
position in the executive1 legislative1 
or judicial branch of the ,federal      
,government who is authorized by law to 
engage in or supervise a law enforcement
 function2 or  7,b7 an employee or      
officer of a contractor or subcontractor
 7at any tier7 of an agency in the      
executive1 legislative1 or judicial     
branch of the ,federal ,government who  
is authorized by law or under the       
contract with the agency to engage in or
 supervise a law enforcement function2  
7#b7 the term law enforcement function  
means the prevention1 detection1 or     
investigation of1 or the prosecution or 
incarceration of any person for1 any    

violation of law2 and  7#c7 the term    
member of an armed force means a member 
of any of the armed forces1 as defined  
in section #aja7;a77#d7 of title #aj1   
,united ,states ,code1 or a member of   
the ,national ,guard1 as defined in     
section #aja7c7 of title #cb1 ,united   
,states ,code4  7b7 ,requirement ,each  
,federal law enforcement officer or     
member of an armed force who is engaged 
in any form of crowd control1 riot      
control1 or arrest or detainment of     
individuals engaged in an act of civil  
disobedience1 demonstration1 protest1 or
 riot in the ,united ,states shall at   
all times display identifying           
information in a clearly visible        
fashion1 which shall include the        
,federal agency1 last name1 and badge   
number of the ,federal law enforcement  
officer or the armed force1 last name1  
and rank of the member of an armed      
force1 respectively4
