direct the ,director of the ,bureau of  
,land ,management to study the effects  
of drone incursions on wildfire         
suppression1 and for other purposes4    
#a4 ,short title ,this ,act may be cited
 as the ,aerial ,incursion ,repercussion
 ,safety ,act of #bjbj or the ,,air     
,safety ,act of #bjbj4  #b4 ,study on   
effects of drone incursions on wildfire 
suppression  7a7 ,definitions ,in this  
section3 7#a7 ,drone ,the term drone    
means an unmanned aircraft system owned 
by a private individual or entity4  7#b7
 ,drone incursion ,the term drone       
incursion means the operation of a drone
 within any airspace for which the      
,administrator of the ,federal ,aviation

 ,administration has issued a temporary 
flight restriction because of a         
wildfire4  7#c7 ,secretary ,the term    
,secretary means the ,secretary of the  
,interior1 acting through the ,director 
of the ,bureau of ,land ,management4    
7#d7 ,wildfire suppression ,the term    
wildfire suppression has the meaning    
given the term in section #dfcbj7;d7 of 
title #di1 ,united ,states ,code4  7b7  
,study required ,the ,secretary1 in     
consultation with the ,secretary of     
,agriculture1 acting through the ,chief 
of the ,forest ,service1 shall conduct a
 study on the effects of drone          
incursions on wildfire suppression with 
respect to land managed by the          
,department of the ,interior or the     
,department of ,agriculture4  7c7 ,study
 contents ,in conducting the study      
required under subsection 7b71 the      
,secretary shall-- 7#a7 determine1 for  
each of the #e most recent calendar     
years-- 7,a7 the number of occurrences  
in which a drone incursion interfered   

with wildfire suppression2 and  7,b7 the
 effect of each occurrence described in 
subparagraph 7,a7 on-- 7i7 the length of
 time required to achieve complete      
suppression2  7ii7 the effectiveness of 
aerial firefighting responses2 and      
7iii7 the amounts expended by the       
,federal ,government2 and  7#b7 evaluate
 the feasibility and effectiveness of   
various actions to prevent drone        
incursions1 including-- 7,a7 the use of 
reasonable force to disable1 damage1 or 
destroy a drone2  7,b7 the seizure of a 
drone1 including seizure with a net     
device2 and  7,c7 the dissemination of  
educational materials relating to the   
effects of drone incursions on wildfire 
suppression4  7d7 ,report ,not later    
than #ah months after the date of       
enactment of this ,act1 the ,secretary  
shall submit to the ,committee on       
,energy and ,natural ,resources of the  
,senate and the ,committee on ,natural  
,resources of the ,house of             
,representatives a report describing--  

7#a7 the findings of the study required 
under subsection 7b72 and  7#b7 any     
recommendations of the ,secretary       
relating to those findings4
