,program description ,the ,program shall
 consist of-- 7,a7 the #aj regional     
,,chp ,technical ,assistance            
,partnerships in existence on the date  
of enactment of the ,,chp ,support ,act 
of #bjai2  7,b7 any other regional ,,chp
 ,technical ,assistance ,partnerships as
 the ,secretary may establish2 and  7,c7
 any supporting technical activities    
under the ,technical ,partnership       
,program of the ,advanced ,manufacturing
 ,office of the ,department of ,energy4 
7#c7 ,references ,any reference in any  
law1 rule1 regulation1 or publication to
 a ,combined ,heat and ,power           
,application ,center or a ,clean ,energy
 ,application ,center shall be deemed to
 be a reference to the ,program4  7b7   
,,chp ,technical ,assistance            
,partnership ,program  7#a7 ,in general 

,the ,program shall-- 7,a7 operate      
programs to encourage deployment of     
combined heat and power1 waste heat to  
power1 and efficient district energy    
7collectively referred to in this       
subsection as ,,chp7 technologies by    
providing education and outreach--  7i7 
to building1 industrial1 and electric   
and natural gas utility professionals2  
7ii7 to ,state and local policymakers2  
and  7iii7 to other individuals and     
organizations with an interest in       
efficient energy use1 local or          
opportunity fuel use1 resiliency1 energy
 security1 microgrids1 and district     
energy2 and  7,b7 provide               
project-specific support to building and
 industrial professionals through       
economic and engineering assessments and
 advisory activities4  7#b7 ,funding for
 certain activities  7,a7 ,in general   
,the ,program shall make funds available
 to institutions of higher education1   
research centers1 and other appropriate 
institutions to ensure the continued    

operation and effectiveness of regional 
,,chp ,technical ,assistance            
,partnerships4  7,b7 ,use of funds      
,funds made available under subparagraph
 7,a7 may be used-- 7i7 to research1    
develop1 and distribute informational   
materials relevant to manufacturers1    
commercial buildings1 institutional     
facilities1 and ,federal sites2  7ii7 to
 support the mission goals of the       
,department of ,defense relating to     
,,chp and microgrid technologies2  7iii7
 to continuously maintain and update--  
7,i7 the ,,chp installation database2   
7,,ii7 ,,chp technology potential       
analyses2  7,,iii7 ,state ,,chp resource
 websites2 and  7,,iv7 ,,chp ,technical 
,assistance ,partnerships websites2     
7iv7 to research1 develop1 and conduct  
target market workshops1 reports1       
seminars1 internet programs1 ,,chp      
resiliency resources1 and other         
activities to provide education to end  
users1 regulators1 and stakeholders in a
 manner that leads to the deployment of 

,,chp technologies2  7v7 to provide or  
coordinate onsite assessments for sites 
and enterprises that may consider       
deployment of ,,chp technology2  7vi7 to
 perform market research to identify    
high-profile candidates for deployment  
of ,,chp technologies1 hybrid           
renewable-,,chp technologies1           
microgrids1 and clean energy2  7vii7 to 
provide nonbiased engineering support to
 sites considering deployment of ,,chp  
technologies2  7viii7 to assist         
organizations developing clean energy   
technologies and policies in overcoming 
barriers to deployment2 and  7ix7 to    
assist companies and organizations with 
field validation and performance        
evaluations of ,,chp and other clean    
energy technologies implemented4  7,c7  
,duration ,the ,program shall make funds
 available under subparagraph 7,a7 for a
 period of #e years4  7c7 ,authorization
 of appropriations ,there is authorized 
to be appropriated to carry out this    
section #ab1jjj1jjj for each of fiscal
