following bill2 which was referred to   
the ,committee on ,transportation and   
,infrastructure  ,a ,,bill  ,to         
authorize the ,secretary of the         
department in which the ,coast ,guard is
 operating to establish a ,coast ,guard 
,junior ,reserve ,officers' ,training   
,corps program in cooperation with      
,pinellas ,park ,high ,school1 and for  
other purposes4  #a4 ,coast ,guard      
,junior ,reserve ,officers' ,training   
pilot program  7a7 ,in general ,the     
,secretary may carry out a pilot program
 to establish and maintain a ,coast     
,guard ,junior ,reserve ,officers'      
,training ,corps program in cooperation 
with ,pinellas ,park ,high ,school in   
,pinellas ,county1 ,florida4  7b7       
,program requirements ,the pilot program
 under subsection 7a7 shall provide to  
participating students at ,pinellas     

,park ,high ,school--  7#a7 instruction 
in subject areas relating to operations 
of the ,coast ,guard2 and  7#b7 training
 in skills which are useful and         
appropriate for a career in the ,coast  
,guard4  7c7 ,provision of additional   
support ,to carry out such pilot        
program1 the ,secretary may provide to  
,pinellas ,park ,high ,school-- 7#a7    
assistance in course development1       
instruction1 and other support          
activities2 and  7#b7 necessary and     
appropriate course materials1 equipment1
 and uniforms4  7d7 ,employment of      
retired ,coast ,guard personnel  7#a7   
,in general ,subject to paragraph 7#b71 
the ,secretary may authorize the        
,pinellas ,park ,high ,school to employ1
 as administrators and instructors for  
such pilot program1 retired ,coast      
,guard and ,coast ,guard ,reserve       
commissioned1 warrant1 and petty        
officers not on active duty who request 
such employment and who are approved by 
the ,secretary and ,pinellas ,park ,high

 ,school4  7#b7 ,authorized pay  7,a7   
,in general ,individuals employed under 
paragraph 7#a7 shall be entitled to     
receive their retired or retainer pay   
and an additional amount of not more    
than the difference between--  7i7 the  
amount the individual would be paid as  
pay and allowance if the individual was 
considered to have been ordered to      
active duty during the period of        
employment2 and  7ii7 the amount of     
retired pay the individual is entitled  
to receive during that period4  7,b7    
,payment to school ,the ,secretary shall
 pay ,pinellas ,park ,high ,school an   
amount equal to one half of the amount  
described in subparagraph 7,a71 from    
funds appropriated for such purpose4    
7,c7 ,special rule ,notwithstanding any 
other provision of law1 while employed  
under this subsection1 an individuals is
 not considered to be on active-duty or 
inactive-duty training4  7e7 ,secretary 
defined ,in this section1 the term      
,secretary means the ,secretary of the  

department in which the ,coast ,guard is
 operating4
