assistance grants ,subparagraph 7,a7 of

,implementing ,recommendations of the   
#i_/aa ,commission ,act of #bjjg 7#f    
,u4,s4,c4 #aace7;b77#b72 ,public ,law   
#aaj-ec7 is amended by inserting and    
associated backfill after security

for public transportation security      
assistance grants ,section #adjf of the 
,implementing ,recommendations of the   
#i_/aa ,commission ,act of #bjjg 7#f    
,u4,s4,c4 #aace2 ,public ,law #aaj-ec7  
is amended--  7#a7 by redesignating     
subsection 7m7 as subsection 7n72 and   
7#b7 by inserting after subsection 7l7  
the following new subsection3  7m7      
,periods of performance  7#a7 ,in       
general ,except as provided in paragraph
 7#b71 funds provided pursuant to a     
grant awarded under this section for a  
use specified in subsection 7b7 shall   
remain available for use by a grant     
recipient for a period of not fewer than
 #cf months4  7#b7 ,exception ,funds    
provided pursuant to a grant awarded    
under this section for a use specified  
in subparagraph 7,m7 or 7,n7 of         
subsection 7b77#a7 shall remain         
available for use by a grant recipient  
for a period of not fewer than #ee      
months4  4  #d4 ,,gao review  7a7 ,in   

general ,the ,comptroller ,general of   
the ,united ,states shall conduct a     
review of the public transportation     
security assistance grant program under 
section #adjf of the ,implementing      
,recommendations of the #i_/aa          
,commission ,act of #bjjg 7#f ,u4,s4,c4 
#aace2 ,public ,law #aaj-ec74  7b7      
,scope ,the review required under       
paragraph 7#a7 shall include the        
following3 7#a7 ,an assessment of the   
type of projects funded under the public
 transportation security grant program  
referred to in such paragraph4  7#b7 ,an
 assessment of the manner in which such 
projects address threats to public      
transportation infrastructure4  7#c7 ,an
 assessment of the impact1 if any1 of   
this ,act 7including the amendments made
 by this ,act7 on types of projects     
funded under the public transportation  
security assistance grant program4  7#d7
 ,an assessment of the management and   
administration of public transportation 
security assistance grant program funds 

by grantees4  7#e7 ,recommendations to  
improve the manner in which public      
transportation security assistance grant
 program funds address vulnerabilities  
in public transportation infrastructure4
  7#f7 ,recommendations to improve the  
management and administration of the    
public transportation security          
assistance grant program4  7c7 ,report  
,not later than one year after the date 
of the enactment of this ,act and again 
not later than five years after such    
date of enactment1 the ,comptroller     
,general shall submit to the ,committee 
on ,homeland ,security of the ,house of 
,representatives and the ,committee on  
,homeland ,security and ,governmental   
,affairs of the ,senate a report on the 
review required under this section4
