disabilities apply to certain employees 
of the ,veterans ,health                
,administration1 and for other          
purposes41 do pass with the following   
,strike out all after the enacting      
clause and insert3  #a4 ,short title    
,this ,act may be cited as the ,veterans
 ,providing ,healthcare ,transition     
,improvement ,act4  #b4 ,disabled       
veteran leave for health-care           
professionals in ,veterans ,health      
,administration  7a7 ,in general        
,section #fcbi7;d77#a7 of title #e1     
,united ,states ,code1 is amended to    

read as follows3  7#a7 the term employee
 has the meaning given such term in     
section #baje1 and includes-- 7,a7 an   
officer or employee of the ,united      
,states ,postal ,service or the ,postal 
,regulatory ,commission2 and  7,b7      
notwithstanding subsection 7a7 of       
section #gdba of title #ch1 an          
individual occupying a position listed  
in subsection 7b7 of such section2  4   
7b7 ,applicability ,with respect to a   
position listed in section #gdba7;b7 of 
title #ch1 ,united ,states ,code1 the   
amendment made by subsection 7a7 shall  
apply to any individual appointed to    
such a position on or after the date of 
enactment of this ,act4  ,amend the     
title so as to read3 ,an ,act to amend  
title #e1 ,united ,states ,code1 to     
ensure that the requirements that new   
,federal employees who are veterans with
 service-connected disabilities are     
provided leave for purposes of          
undergoing medical treatment for such   
disabilities apply to certain employees
