entry1 appropriation1 or disposal under 
the public land laws1 location1 entry1  
and patent under the mining laws1 and   
operation under the mineral leasing and 
geothermal leasing laws1 and for other  
purposes4  #a4 ,short title ,this ,act  
may be cited as the ,southwestern       
,oregon ,watershed and ,salmon          
,protection ,act4  #b4 ,definitions ,in 
this ,act3  7#a7 ,eligible ,federal land
 ,the term eligible ,federal land       
means-- 7,a7 any federally owned land or
 interest in land depicted on the ,maps 
as within the ,hunter ,creek and ,pistol
 ,river ,headwaters ,withdrawal         

,proposal or the ,rough and ,ready and  
,baldface ,creeks ,mineral ,withdrawal  
,proposal2 or  7,b7 any land or interest
 in land located within such withdrawal 
proposals that is acquired by the       
,federal ,government after the date of  
enactment of this ,act4  7#b7 ,maps ,the
 term ,maps means-- 7,a7 the ,bureau of 
,land ,management map entitled ,hunter  
,creek and ,pistol ,river ,headwaters   
,withdrawal ,proposal dated ,january    
#ab1 #bjae2 and  7,b7 the ,bureau of    
,land ,management map entitled ,rough   
and ,ready and ,baldface ,creeks        
,mineral ,withdrawal ,proposal dated    
,january #ab1 #bjae4  #c4 ,withdrawal of
 ,federal land1 ,curry ,county and      
,josephine ,county1 ,oregon  7a7        
,withdrawal ,subject to valid existing  
rights1 the eligible ,federal land is   
withdrawn from all forms of--  7#a7     
entry1 appropriation1 or disposal under 
the public land laws2  7#b7 location1   
entry1 and patent under the mining laws2
 and  7#c7 operation under the mineral  

leasing and geothermal leasing laws4    
7b7 ,availability of maps ,not later    
than #cj days after the date of         
enactment of this ,act1 the ,maps shall 
be made available to the public at each 
appropriate office of the ,bureau of    
,land ,management4  #d4 ,existing uses  
not affected ,except with respect to the
 withdrawal under section #c1 nothing in
 this ,act restricts recreational uses1 
hunting1 fishing1 forest management     
activities1 or other authorized uses    
allowed on the date of enactment of this
 ,act on the eligible ,federal land in  
accordance with applicable law4  #e4    
,technical corrections to ,wild and     
,scenic ,rivers ,act relating to the    
,chetco ,river1 ,oregon ,paragraph 7#fi7
 of section #c7;a7 of the ,wild and     
,scenic ,rivers ,act 7#af ,u4,s4,c4     
#abgd7;a77 is amended to read as        
follows3  7#fi7 ,chetco1 ,oregon  7,a7  
,designations ,the #dd4e-mile segment   
from its headwaters to the ,siskiyou    
,national ,forest boundary2 to be       

administered by the ,secretary of       
,agriculture in the following classes3  
7i7 ,the #bg4e-mile segment from its    
headwaters to ,mislatnah ,creek as a    
wild river4  7ii7 ,the #g4e-mile segment
 from ,mislatnah ,creek to ,eagle ,creek
 as a scenic river4  7iii7 ,the         
#i4e-mile segment from ,eagle ,creek to 
the ,siskiyou ,national ,forest         
boundary1 one mile below ,wilson ,creek1
 as a recreational river4  7,b7         
,withdrawal ,subject to valid rights1   
the ,federal land within the boundaries 
of the river segments designated by     
subparagraph 7,a71 is withdrawn from all
 forms of--  7i7 entry1 appropriation1  
or disposal under the public land laws2 
7ii7 location1 entry1 and patent under  
the mining laws2 and  7iii7 operation   
under the mineral leasing and geothermal
 leasing laws4  4
