 referred to the ,committee on ,rules   
and ,administration  ,,resolution       
,authorizing expenditures by the        
,special ,committee on ,aging4  #a4     
,general authority ,in carrying out its 
powers1 duties1 and functions imposed by
 section #ajd of ,s4 ,res4 #d1 agreed to
 ,february #d1 #aigg 7#ieth ,congress71 
and in exercising the authority         
conferred on it by such section1 the    
,special ,committee on ,aging 7in this  
resolution referred to as the committee7
 is authorized from ,march #a1 #bjac1   
through ,september #cj1 #bjac1 in its   
discretion to--  7#a7 make expenditures 
from the contingent fund of the ,senate2
  7#b7 employ personnel2 and  7#c7 with 
the prior consent of the ,government    
department or agency concerned and the  

,committee on ,rules and                
,administration1 use on a reimbursable  
or nonreimbursable basis the services of
 personnel of any such department or    
agency4  #b4 ,expenses for period ending
 ,september #cj1 #bjac ,the expenses of 
the committee for the period ,march #a1 
#bjac through ,september #cj1 #bjac     
under this resolution shall not exceed  
#a1gjd1ffa1 of which amount1 not to     
exceed #ae1jjj may be expended for the  
training of the professional staff of   
the committee 7under procedures         
specified by section #bjb7;j7 of the    
,legislative ,reorganization ,act of    
#aidf 7#b ,u4,s4,c4 #gb;a7j7774  #c4    
,reporting legislation ,the committee   
shall report its findings1 together with
 such recommendations for legislation as
 it deems advisable1 to the ,senate at  
the earliest practicable date1 but not  
later than ,february #bh1 #bjae4  #d4   
,expenses and agency contributions  7a7 
,expenses of the committee  7#a7 ,in    
general ,except as provided in paragraph

 7#b71 expenses of the committee under  
this resolution shall be paid from the  
contingent fund of the ,senate upon     
vouchers approved by the chairman of the
 committee4  7#b7 ,vouchers not required
 ,vouchers shall not be required for--  
7,a7 the disbursement of salaries of    
employees paid at an annual rate2  7,b7 
the payment of telecommunications       
provided by the ,office of the ,sergeant
 at ,arms and ,doorkeeper2  7,c7 the    
payment of stationery supplies purchased
 through the ,keeper of the ,stationery2
  7,d7 payments to the ,postmaster of   
the ,senate2  7,e7 the payment of       
metered charges on copying equipment    
provided by the ,office of the ,sergeant
 at ,arms and ,doorkeeper2  7,f7 the    
payment of ,senate ,recording and       
,photographic ,services2 or  7,g7 the   
payment of franked and mass mail costs  
by the ,sergeant at ,arms and           
,doorkeeper1 ,united ,states ,senate4   
7b7 ,agency contributions ,there are    
authorized such sums as may be necessary

 for agency contributions related to the
 compensation of employees of the       
committee from ,march #a1 #bjac through 
,september #cj1 #bjac1 to be paid from  
the appropriations account for ,expenses
 of ,inquiries and ,investigations of   
the ,senate4
