,authorization ,the ,president is       
authorized and requested to award the   
,medal of ,honor under section #cgda of 
title #aj1 ,united ,states ,code1 to    
,james ,megellas1 formerly of ,fond du  
,lac1 ,wisconsin1 and currently of      
,colleyville1 ,texas1 for the acts of   

valor described in subsection 7b74  7b7 
,action ,described ,the acts of valor   
referred to in subsection 7a7 are the   
actions of ,james ,megellas on ,january 
#bh1 #aide1 in ,herresbach1 ,belgium1   
during the ,battle of the ,bulge1 during
 ,world ,war ,,ii1 when1 as a first     
lieutenant in the #hb;d ,airborne       
,division1 he led a surprise and        
devastating attack on a much larger     
advancing enemy force1 killing and      
capturing a large number and causing    
others to flee1 single-handedly         
destroying an attacking ,german ,mark ,v
 tank with two hand-held grenades1 and  
then leading his men in clearing and    
seizing ,herresbach4  7c7 ,waiver of    
,time ,limitations ,the award under     
subsection 7a7 may be made without      
regard to the time limitations specified
 in section #cgdd7;b7 of title #aj1     
,united ,states ,code1 or any other time
 limitation established by law or       
regulation with respect to the awarding 
of certain medals to persons who served
