producers on a farm to produce fruits   
and vegetables for processing on the    
base acres of the farm4  #a4 ,short     
title ,this ,act may be cited as the    
,farming ,flexibility ,act of #bjac4    
#b4 ,production of fruits and vegetables
 for processing on covered commodity    
base acres  7a7 ,mung beans and pulse   
crops ,section #aajg7;b77#c77;,b7 of the
 ,food1 ,conservation1 and ,energy ,act 
of #bjjh 7#g ,u4,s4,c4                  
#hgag7;b77#c77;,b77 is amended by       
striking 7other than mung beans and     
pulse crops74  7b7 ,authority for       
production of fruits and vegetables for 

processing ,section #aajg of the ,food1 
,conservation1 and ,energy ,act of #bjjh
 7#g ,u4,s4,c4 #hgag7 is amended by     
striking subsection 7d7 and inserting   
the following3  7d7 ,authority for      
production of fruits and vegetables for 
processing  7#a7 ,planting authorized   
,beginning with the #bjad crop year1    
notwithstanding paragraphs 7#a7 and 7#b7
 of subsection 7b7 and in addition to   
the exceptions provided in subsection   
7c71 producers on a farm may reduce the 
base acres for any covered commodity for
 the farm for a crop year by #a acre for
 each acre used for the planting and    
production of fruits or vegetables      
7other than potatoes7 for processing4   
7#b7 ,contract and management           
requirements ,producers on a farm       
shall--  7,a7 demonstrate to the        
,secretary that the producers on the    
farm have entered into a contract to    
produce a crop of a commodity specified 
in paragraph 7#a7 for processing2  7,b7 
agree to produce the crop as part of a  

program of crop rotation on the farm to 
achieve agronomic and pest and disease  
management benefits2 and  7,c7 provide  
evidence of the disposition of the crop4
  7#c7 ,reversion to covered commodity  
base acres ,each acre of a farm devoted 
to the planting and production of fruits
 or vegetables under paragraph 7#a7     
shall be included in the base acres for 
the covered commodity for the subsequent
 crop year1 unless the producers on the 
farm make the election described in     
paragraph 7#a7 for the subsequent crop  
year4  7#d7 ,recalculation of base acres
  7,a7 ,in general ,subject to          
subparagraph 7,b71 if the ,secretary    
recalculates the base acres for a farm1 
the planting of fruits and vegetables   
under paragraph 7#a7 shall be considered
 to be the same as the planting1        
prevented planting1 or production of a  
covered commodity4  7,b7 ,prohibition   
,nothing in this paragraph provides     
authority for the ,secretary to         
recalculate base acres for a farm4  4
