competitiveness by modernizing and      
strengthening our national

in transportation corridors of national 
and regional significance that promote  
commerce and reduce congestion2  7#c7   
update and enhance our national network 
of rail1 dams1 and ports of the ,united 
,states2  7#d7 develop innovative       
financing mechanisms for infrastructure1
 such as an infrastructure bank1 to     
leverage ,federal funds with private    
sector partners2  7#e7 invest in        
critical infrastructure1 such as a      
smarter national energy grid1 to reduce 
energy waste and bolster investment in  
clean energy jobs and industries2  7#f7 
invest in clean energy technologies that
 help free the ,united ,states from its
