may be cited as the ,traumatic ,brain   
,injury ,reauthorization ,act of #bjad4 
#b4 ,,cdc programs for prevention and   
surveillance of traumatic brain injury  
7a7 ,in general ,section #cid;,a of the 
,public ,health ,service ,act 7#db      
,u4,s4,c4 #bhj;b-#c7 is amended-- 7#a7  
by striking the section heading and all 
that follows through ,for the purpose   
and inserting the following3  #cid;,a4  
,authorization of appropriations  7a7   
,in general ,for the purpose  2 and     
7#b7 by adding at the end the following3

  7b7 ,traumatic brain injury ,to carry 
out sections #cic;,b and #cic;,c1 there 
are authorized to be appropriated

the ,public ,health ,service ,act 7#db

 #bjaj1 commonly referred to as ,healthy
 ,people #bjaj and inserting #bjbj1     
commonly referred to as ,healthy ,people
 #bjbj4  #c4 ,state grants for projects 
regarding traumatic brain injury        
,section #abeb7;j7 of the ,public       
,health ,service ,act 7#db ,u4,s4,c4    
#cjj;d-#eb7;j77 is amended1 by striking 
such sums as may be necessary for each  
of the fiscal years #bjja through #bjje1
 and such sums as may be necessary for  
each of the fiscal years #bjji through  
#bjab and inserting #e1ejj1jjj for each 
of the fiscal years #bjae through #bjai4
  #d4 ,state grants for protection and  
advocacy services ,section #abec of the 
,public ,health ,service ,act 7#db      

,u4,s4,c4 #cjj;d-#ec7 is amended-- 7#a7 
in subsection 7l71 by striking          
#e1jjj1jjj for fiscal year #bjja1 and   
such sums as may be necessary for each

,coordination ,plan  7a7 ,development of
 plan ,not later than #a year after the 
date of enactment of this ,act1 the     
,secretary of ,health and ,human        
,services shall develop a plan for      
improved coordination of ,federal       
activities with respect to traumatic    
brain injury4 ,such plan shall-- 7#a7   
review existing interagency coordination
 efforts with respect to ,federal       
activities related to traumatic brain   

injury1 including services for          
individuals with traumatic brain injury2
  7#b7 identify areas for improved      
coordination between relevant ,federal  
agencies and programs1 including        
agencies and programs with a focus on   
serving individuals with disabilities2  
and  7#c7 incorporate1 as appropriate1  
stakeholder feedback1 including feedback
 from individuals with traumatic brain  
injury and their caregivers4  7b7       
,submission to ,congress ,the ,secretary
 of ,health and ,human ,services shall  
submit the plan developed under         
subsection 7a7 to the ,committee on     
,health1 ,education1 ,labor1 and        
,pensions of the ,senate and the        
,committee on ,energy and ,commerce of  
the ,house of ,representatives4  #f4    
,study of brain injury management in    
children ,the ,director of the ,centers 
for ,disease ,control and ,prevention1  
in consultation with the ,director of   
the ,national ,institutes of ,health1   
shall conduct a review of the scientific

 evidence related to brain injury       
management in children1 such as the     
restriction or prohibition of children  
from attending school or participating  
in athletic activities following a head 
injury1 and identify ongoing and        
potential further opportunities for     
research4 ,not later than #b years after
 the date of enactment of this ,act1 the
 ,director of the ,centers for ,disease 
,control and ,prevention shall submit to
 the ,committee on ,health1 ,education1 
,labor1 and ,pensions of the ,senate and
 the ,committee on ,energy and ,commerce
 of the ,house of ,representatives a    
report concerning the results of such   
review4
