young adults with autism spectrum disorder and the challenges related to the transition from existing school-based services to those services available during adulthood4 7#b7 ,contents ,the report submitted under paragraph 7#a7 shall contain-- 7,a7 an overview of policies and programs relevant to young adults with autism spectrum disorder relating to post-secondary school transitional services1 including an identification of existing ,federal laws1 regulations1 policies1 research1 and programs2 7,b7 demographic characteristics of youth transitioning from school-based to community-based supports2 7,c7 proposals on establishing best practices guidelines to ensure-- 7i7 interdisciplinary coordination between all relevant services providers receiving ,federal funding2 7ii7 coordination with transitioning youth and the family of such transitioning youth2 and 7iii7 the inclusion of the transitioning youth's ,individualized ,education ,program as prescribed in section #fad of the ,individuals with ,disabilities ,education ,act 7#bj ,u4,s4,c4 #adad72 7,d7 comprehensive approaches to transitioning from existing school-based services to services available during adulthood1 including-- 7i7 services that increase access to1 and improve integration and completion of1 post-secondary education1 peer support1 vocational training 7as defined in section #ajc of the ,rehabilitation ,act of #aigc 7#bi ,u4,s4,c4 #gbc771 rehabilitation1 self-advocacy skills1 and competitive1 integrated employment2 7ii7 community-based behavioral supports and interventions2 7iii7 community-based integrated residential services1 housing1 and transportation2 7iv7 nutrition1 health and wellness1 recreational1 and social activities2 7v7 personal safety services for individuals with autism spectrum disorder related to public safety agencies or the criminal justice system2 and 7vi7 evidence-based approaches for coordination of resources and services once individuals have aged out of post-secondary education2 and 7,e7 proposals that seek to improve outcomes for adults with autism spectrum disorder making the transition from a school-based support system to adulthood by-- 7i7 increasing the effectiveness of programs that provide transition services2 7ii7 increasing the ability of relevant service providers to provide supports and services to underserved populations and regions2 7iii7 increasing the efficiency of service delivery to maximize resources and outcomes1 including with respect to the integration of and collaboration among services for transitioning youth2 7iv7 ensuring access to all services necessary to transitioning youth of all capabilities2 and 7v7 encouraging transitioning youth to utilize all available transition services to maximize overview of policies and programs relevant to young adults with autism spectrum disorder relating to post-secondary school transitional services1 including an identification of existing ,federal laws1 regulations1 policies1 research1 and programs2 7,c7 proposals on establishing best practices guidelines to ensure-- 7i7 interdisciplinary coordination between all relevant service providers receiving ,federal funding2 7ii7 coordination with transitioning youth and the family of such transitioning youth2 and 7iii7 inclusion of the individualized education program for the transitioning youth1 as prescribed in section #fad of the ,individuals with ,disabilities ,education ,act 7#bj ,u4,s4,c4 #adad72 7,d7 comprehensive approaches to transitioning from existing school-based services to services available during adulthood1 including-- 7i7 services that increase access to1 and improve integration and completion of1 post-secondary education1 peer support1 vocational training 7as defined in section #ajc of the ,rehabilitation ,act of #aigc 7#bi ,u4,s4,c4 #gbc771 rehabilitation1 self-advocacy skills1 and competitive1 integrated employment2 7ii7 community-based behavioral supports and interventions2 7iii7 community-based integrated residential services1 housing1 and transportation2 7iv7 nutrition1 health and wellness1 recreational1 and social activities2 7v7 personal safety services for individuals with autism spectrum disorder related to public safety agencies or the criminal justice system2 and 7vi7 evidence-based approaches for coordination of resources and services once individuals have aged out of post-secondary education2 and 7,e7 proposals that seek to improve outcomes for adults with autism spectrum disorder making the transition from a school-based support system to adulthood by-- 7i7 increasing the effectiveness of programs that provide transition services2 7ii7 increasing the ability of the relevant service providers described in subparagraph 7,c7 to provide supports and services to underserved populations and regions2 7iii7 increasing the efficiency of service delivery to maximize resources and outcomes1 including with respect to the integration of and collaboration among services for transitioning youth2 7iv7 ensuring access to all services necessary to transitioning youth of all capabilities2 and 7v7 encouraging transitioning youth to
