designate as wilderness certain land and
 inland water within the ,sleeping ,bear
 ,dunes ,national ,lakeshore in the     
,state of ,michigan1 and for other      
purposes4  #a4 ,short title ,this ,act  
may be cited as the ,sleeping ,bear     
,dunes ,national ,lakeshore             
,conservation and ,recreation ,act4  #b4
 ,definitions ,in this ,act3  7#a7 ,map 
,the term map means the map consisting  
of #f sheets entitled ,sleeping ,bear   
,dunes ,national ,lakeshore ,proposed   
,wilderness ,boundary1 numbered         
#fcd_/hj1jhc;,b1 and dated ,november    
#bjaj4  7#b7 ,secretary ,the term       
,secretary means the ,secretary of the  

,interior4  #c4 ,sleeping bear dunes    
wilderness  7a7 ,designation ,in        
accordance with the ,wilderness ,act    
7#af ,u4,s4,c4 #aaca et seq471 certain  
land and inland water within the        
,sleeping ,bear ,dunes ,national        
,lakeshore comprising approximately     
#cb1eeg acres along the mainland shore  
of ,lake ,michigan and on certain nearby
 islands in ,benzie and ,leelanau       
,counties1 ,michigan1 as generally      
depicted on the map1 is designated as   
wilderness and as a component of the    
,national ,wilderness ,preservation     
,system1 to be known as the ,sleeping   
,bear ,dunes ,wilderness4  7b7 ,map     
7#a7 ,availability ,the map shall be on 
file and available for public inspection
 in appropriate offices of the ,national
 ,park ,service4  7#b7 ,corrections ,the
 ,secretary may correct any clerical or 
typographical errors in the map4  7#c7  
,legal description ,as soon as          
practicable after the date of enactment 
of this ,act1 the ,secretary shall      

prepare a legal description of the      
wilderness boundary and submit a copy of
 the map and legal description to the   
,committee on ,energy and ,natural      
,resources of the ,senate and the       
,committee on ,natural ,resources of the
 ,house of ,representatives4  7c7 ,road 
,setbacks ,the wilderness boundary shall
 be--  7#a7 #ajj feet from the          
centerline of adjacent county roads2 and
  7#b7 #cjj feet from the centerline of 
adjacent ,state highways4  #d4          
,administration  7a7 ,in general        
,subject to valid existing rights1 the  
wilderness area designated by section   
#c7;a7 shall be administered by the     
,secretary in accordance with the       
,wilderness ,act 7#af ,u4,s4,c4 #aaca et
 seq471 except that--  7#a7 any         
reference in the ,wilderness ,act to the
 effective date of that ,act shall be   
considered to be a reference to the date
 of enactment of this ,act2 and  7#b7   
any reference in the ,wilderness ,act to
 the ,secretary of ,agriculture shall be

 considered to be a reference to the    
,secretary4  7b7 ,maintenance of roads  
outside wilderness boundary ,nothing in 
this ,act prevents the maintenance and  
improvement of roads that are located   
outside the boundary of the wilderness  
area designated by section #c7;a74  7c7 
,fish and wildlife ,nothing in this ,act
 affects the jurisdiction of the ,state 
of ,michigan with respect to the        
management of fish and wildlife1        
including hunting and fishing within the
 national lakeshore in accordance with  
section #e of ,public ,law #ia-dgi 7#af 
,u4,s4,c4 #dfjx-#d74  7d7 ,savings      
,provisions ,nothing in this ,act       
modifies1 alters1 or affects--  7#a7 any
 treaty rights2 or  7#b7 any valid      
private property rights in existence on 
the day before the date of enactment of 
this ,act4
