#bast century that develops every source of ,american-made energy2 7#b7 according to the ,energy ,information ,administration1 #cg percent of all energy generated in the ,united ,states comes from coal and by #bjdj1 coal will still account for #cb percent of energy generation in the ,united ,states2 7#c7 the ,united ,states has enough recoverable coal reserves to last at least another #bej years2 7#d7 as the world becomes increasingly carbon constrained1 coal-fired power plants must increasingly be integrated with carbon capture and storage systems2 7#e7 efficiency improvements to the coal fleet will decrease carbon emissions and use less coal while providing the same power2 7#f7 the potential to increase efficiency is evident in the current fleet of power plants in the ,united attained with ultrasupercritical coal-fired power plants2 7#h7 replacing the average subcritical coal-fired power plant with a supercritical or ultrasupercritical coal-fired power plant would reduce carbon emissions by #ah to #bb percent per megawatt hour of energy generated2 and 7#i7 the coal industry is a significant source of jobs in the ,united ,states as in #bjab alone1 coal was responsible
