contribution acknowledgments to be      
displayed at the ,vietnam ,veterans     
,memorial ,visitor ,center1 and for     
other purposes41 with the following  ,in
 lieu of the matter proposed to be      
inserted by the amendment of the ,senate
 to the text of the bill1 insert the    
following3  #a4 ,short title ,this ,act 
may be cited as the ,vietnam ,veterans  
,donor ,acknowledgment ,act of #bjac4   
#b4 ,donor contribution acknowledgments 
at the ,vietnam ,veterans ,memorial     
,visitor ,center ,section #f7;b7 of     
,public ,law #if-big 7#af ,u4,s4,c4 #dca
 note7 is amended--  7#a7 in paragraph  
7#d7 by striking the and after the      
semicolon2  7#b7 in paragraph 7#e7--    
7,a7 by striking #bjad and inserting    

#bjah2 and  7,b7 by striking the period 
and inserting 2 and2 and  7#c7 by       
inserting at the end the following new  
paragraph3  7#f7 notwithstanding section
 #hije7;b77#g7 of title #dj1 ,united    
,states ,code--  7,a7 the ,secretary of 
the ,interior shall allow the ,vietnam  
,veterans ,memorial ,fund1 ,inc4 to     
acknowledge donor contributions to the  
visitor center by displaying1 inside the
 visitor center1 an appropriate         
statement or credit acknowledging the   
contribution2  7,b7 donor contribution  
acknowledgments shall be displayed in a 
form approved by the ,secretary of the  
,interior and for a period of time      
commensurate with the level of the      
contribution and the life of the        
facility2  7,c7 the ,vietnam ,veterans  
,memorial ,fund shall bear all expenses 
related to the display of donor         
acknowledgments2  7,d7 prior to the     
display of donor acknowledgments1 the   
,vietnam ,veterans ,memorial ,fund1     
,inc4 shall submit to the ,secretary for

 approval1 its plan for displaying donor
 acknowledgments2  7,e7 such plan shall 
include the sample text and types of the
 acknowledgments or credits to be       
displayed and the form and location of  
all displays2  7,f7 the ,secretary shall
 approve the plan1 if the ,secretary    
determines that the plan--  7i7 allows  
only short1 discrete1 and unobtrusive   
acknowledgments or credits2  7ii7 does  
not permit any advertising slogans or   
company logos2 and  7iii7 conforms to   
applicable ,national ,park ,service     
guidelines for indoor donor recognition2
 and  7,g7 if the ,secretary of the     
,interior determines that the proposed  
plan submitted under this paragraph1    
does not meet the requirements of this  
paragraph1 the ,secretary shall--  7i7  
advise the ,vietnam ,veterans ,memorial 
,fund1 ,inc4 not later than #cj days    
after receipt of the proposed plan of   
the reasons that such plan does not meet
 the requirements2 and  7ii7 allow the  
,vietnam ,veterans ,memorial ,fund1     

,inc4 to submit a revised donor         
recognition plan4  4  ,clerk4
