the ,federal ,perkins ,loan ,program4

 as the ,veterans ,higher ,education    
,opportunity ,act4  #b4 ,cancellation of
 loans of members of the armed forces   
made from student loan funds ,section   
#dfe7;a7 of the ,higher ,education ,act 
of #aife 7#bj ,u4,s4,c4 #ajhg;ee7a77 is 
amended by adding at the end the        
following new paragraph3  7#h7 ,for the 
purpose of this subsection1 the term    
year of service where applied to service
 by a member of the ,armed ,forces      
described in paragraph 7#b77;,d7 means a
 qualified tour of duty that--  7,a7 is 
for #f months or longer2 or  7,b7 was   

less than #f months because the member  
was discharged or released from active  
duty in the ,armed ,forces for an injury
 or disability incurred in or aggravated
 by service in the ,armed ,forces4  4
