amend the ,federal ,food1 ,drug1 and    
,cosmetic ,act to require the label of  
drugs intended for human use to contain 
a parenthetical statement identifying   
the source of any ingredient            
constituting or derived from a grain or 
starch-containing ingredient4  #a4      
,short title ,this ,act may be cited as 
the ,gluten in ,medicine ,disclosure    
,act of #bjac4  #b4 ,labeling of source 
of human drug ingredients constituting  
or derived from a grain or              
starch-containing ingredient  7a7       
,misbranding ,section #ejb of the       
,federal ,food1 ,drug1 and ,cosmetic    
,act 7#ba ,u4,s4,c4 #ceb7 is amended by 
adding at the end the following3  7bb7  
,if it is a drug--  7#a7 that is        

intended for human use2  7#b7 that      
contains an ingredient 7other than a    
polyol7 that constitutes or is derived  
from a grain or starch-containing       
ingredient2 and  7#c7 whose label fails 
to include a parenthetical statement    
identifying the source of the ingredient
 so constituted or derived4  4  7b7     
,applicability ,section #ejb7;bb7 of the
 ,federal ,food1 ,drug1 and ,cosmetic   
,act1 as added by subsection 7a7 of this
 section1 shall apply beginning on the  
sooner of--  7#a7 a date to be          
determined by the ,secretary of ,health 
and ,human ,services2 and  7#b7 the date
 that is #b years after the date of the 
enactment of this ,act4
